Learn to play the City way with the Playermaker CITYPLAY, a smart sensor for your boots that monitors your physical and technical performance and provides personalised training advice tailored to Man City’s philosophy.
Yes, technical performance too – this is a significant level up from a GPS unit. The Playermaker CITYPLAY attaches neatly to the back of your boots so its six-axis motion sensor can track every micro-movement you make, whether that’s impact with the ground, touches on the ball, or the rotation of your foot. That means you not only get highly accurate physical stats such as distance covered, acceleration, top speed, and sprint distances, but also data on your ball interactions – metrics like number of touches, kick velocity, time in possession, and how much you’re using either foot to receive or strike the ball.
All the data’s sent directly to your phone, so you can check in straight after training and see how you’ve performed. Left your phone at home? No worries, the sensors will store your session until you’re back in range to sync.
The user-friendly companion app compares your data with your previous sessions to make it easy to chart your progression, while elite-level benchmarks show you how you stack up against the pros. And your reports are shareable, of course – ideal for impressing coaches and scouts as you continue to improve your game.
